Member Honors
You've watched your friends and peers accomplish incredible goals this year. Now let’s recognize their accomplishments by awarding them with one of our NSSLHA Member Honors awards:
- Excellence Awards (2): One for an audiology graduate student and one for a speech-language pathology graduate student who demonstrate NSSLHA's core values and contribute heavily to their NSSLHA chapter.
- Rising Leader Awards (2): One for an audiology undergraduate student and one for a speech-language pathology undergraduate student who contribute heavily to their NSSLHA chapter and show promise of future leadership.
- Legislative Liaison of the Year Award (1): Given to one outstanding undergraduate or graduate student who engages in advocacy efforts at the local, state, and/or federal levels.
- Speaking Out and Being Heard Award (1): Given to one outstanding undergraduate or graduate student who brings public awareness to CSD through traditional and/or nontraditional media.

Application Steps
Confirm Your Nominee's Eligibility
To be nominated, a student must be a National NSSLHA member, be a member of their local NSSLHA chapter, and may not have served on National NSSLHA's Executive Council. Don't forget—you can nominate yourself too!
Submit Your Nomination by March 31, 2025
Applications open January 2025 and due March 31, 2025.
Submissions Reviewed by the National NSSLHA Office
All nominations will be reviewed by the National NSSLHA office to confirm eligibility.
Applications Reviewed by the Executive Council
The Executive Council will review eligible applications and select one recipient for each award.
Notification
Recipients will be notified and recognized in early May 2025. Excellence awardees receive $500 and mention on the National NSSLHA website. Rising Leader, Legislative Liaison of the Year, and Speaking Out and Being Heard awardees receive $250 and mention on the National NSSLHA website.
