2020 Resolutions and Motions
The following resolutions and motions were considered by the NSSLHA Executive Council in 2020.
EC 12-2020
RESOLVED, That a $5,000 contribution to the ASHFoundation be conditionally made based upon NSSLHA’s 2020 operating net income being at least $5,000 before the contribution is made.
EC 11-2020
RESOLVED, That the Executive Council approve members of the 2020-2021 Inclusion, Diversity, Equity & Action (IDEA) Work Group: Connor Mahon, Jenna Wong, Jennifer Arias, Meredith Heckler, and Sarah Salazar.
EC 10-2020
RESOLVED, That the Executive Council approve the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Action (IDEA) Work Group as a new National NSSLHA member micro-volunteering opportunity through 2022.
EC 9-2020
RESOLVED, That the Executive Council approve Holly Cote as the MA SSO (SLP) for the 2020-2021 term.
EC 8-2020
RESOLVED, That the Executive Council approve the 2020-2021 Student State Officer (SSO) slate.
EC 7-2020
RESOLVED, That the Executive Council approve the following 2020-2022 Executive Council slate: Adrienne Graves (President-Elect), Miya Wilson (Vice President for Finance), Melanie Alcala (Vice President for Academic Affairs), Salvatore Paporto (Vice President for Programming in Audiology), Leila Regio (Vice President for Student State Officers, Western Region), and Kate Gwozdz (Vice President for Student State Officers, Northeastern Region).
EC 6-2020
RESOLVED, Should a student apply for the ASHFoundation’s NSSLHA Graduate Scholarship, while also being selected to serve on the National NSSLHA Executive Council, then the student will be recused from consideration for the scholarship upon the start of their term. Their application will remain valid for any other scholarships administered by the ASHFoundation.
EC 5-2020
RESOLVED, That the Executive Council select the 2019-2020 Chapter of the Year awardee.
EC 4-2020
RESOLVED, That the Executive Council approve the 2020-2022 National NSSLHA Strategic Plan.
EC 3-2020
RESOLVED, That the Executive Council approve a one-time exception that allows the Southern Regional Councilor to hold an additional leadership position with another national student organization.
EC 2-2020
RESOLVED, That the Executive Council approve a one-time exception allowing the current Vice President for Student State Officers (AuD) to apply for a leadership position during the 2020 election.
EC 1-2020
RESOLVED, That the Executive Council select 10 National NSSLHA Undergraduate Scholarship awardees.
